End of ‘Avengers’ movies cloaked in high-level Hollywood secrecy

By Rollo Ross

LOS ANGELES (Reuters) – Walt Disney Co’s Marvel Studios went to great lengths to keep the plot of the movie “Avengers: Endgame” under wraps until its highly anticipated debut in theaters this week, the stars and directors said in interviews.

“Endgame” will offer the “grand conclusion” to a 22-movie story for six of Marvel’s Avengers — Iron Man, Thor, Black Widow, Captain America, Hawkeye and the Hulk, according to Joe Russo, who directed the new film with his brother Anthony.

Marvel took extra steps to keep the plot secret during filming, and many of the movie’s A-list cast said they did not know how exactly the story would unfold.

“Endgame” begins rolling out in theaters around the world on Wednesday.

Brie Larson, who plays the newest big-screen hero, Captain Marvel, called “Endgame” the “most secretive movie possible.” For scenes where she had no lines, Larson said she would be called to the movie’s set without any script for guidance.

“I’d just have to be on set figuring it out,” she said, “which is very intimidating to the new kid.”

Mark Ruffalo, the actor who plays the Hulk, said he had not read a full script for the film and was unsure how it would end.

The predecessor to “Endgame,” last year’s “Avengers: Infinity War,” left audiences with an epic cliffhanger in which many of the superheroes appeared to turn to dust, and fans are anxious to see what’s next.

Captain America actor Chris Evans said he had faith that Marvel would put out a movie that will “end up being something pretty cool.”

“I have grown comfortable and confident that Marvel will make a movie we can be proud of,” Evans said.

Army officer killed in ‘freak accident’ while skydiving in North Carolina

An Army officer was killed skydiving Sunday morning in North Carolina in an incident one official described as a "freak accident."

The incident was reported around 10:45 a.m. when a 911 caller reported a skydiver had been found dead at the Cape Fear Regional Jetport in Brunswick County.

Officers discovered the body of Sgt. 1st Class Justin Goff, 29, of the United States Army, who was pronounced dead at the scene.

NEW JERSEY SKYDIVING ACCIDENT LEAVES 'VERY EXPERIENCED' JUMPER DEAD

Oak Island Police Sgt. Loyd Hames told WECT-TV that Goff was on a recreational skydiving trip and sustained an injury in a "freak accident" that occurred amid high winds. Goff's parachute deployed and Hames told WECT-TV he did not hit anything on the way down.

Sgt. 1st Class Justin Goff was found dead near the Cape Fear Regional Jetport in Brunswick County.

A police report obtained by WWAY-TV listed the death as suspected cardiac or respiratory arrest. An autopsy is scheduled to determine the exact cause.

The 29-year-old was originally from Florida, and currently stationed at Fort Bragg in Fayetteville, WECT reported. Goff was married with three children, according to Omega Gymnastics in Fayetteville.

"Coach Justin will be greatly missed by many of our gymnasts and tumblers," a post by the group on Facebook read, in part.

The group shared that Goff was a recreational and boys coach.

"He will be greatly missed by all of our Omega families and friends, and our thoughts and prayers are with his wife, 3 children, and his entire family and loved ones," the group said.

In a similar incident earlier this month, a "very experienced" skydiver fell to his death in New Jersey. Officials said that Paul Haaf's parachute did deploy, but he nevertheless continued a rapid and uncontrolled descent. When he did try to use an emergency chute, he was already too close to the ground, WPVI reported.

CNN: Most Dem Presidential Candidates Haven't Secured Emails

Most Democratic presidential primary candidates have not yet taken a basic step in securing their email systems, even though the release of hacked emails contributed to the failure of Hillary Clinton's bid for the White House in 2016, according to a just-completed analysis by a security advocacy group, CNN reported on Wednesday.

Global Cyber Alliance said that, when the analysis was conducted last week, only four of the then-14 Democratic candidates' websites were using any type of a security protocol that helps guarantee that emails sent from campaign addresses are actually from the campaign.

The protocol - Domain-based Message Authentication, Reporting and Conformance (DMARC) - verifies that emails are from the websites they claim to be from.

Since then, and after CNN asked them about their lack of security, three more campaigns have implemented some form of security against hacking.

In addition, due to the publication of the story, the Democratic National Committee has moved up an online seminar for campaigns to Wednesday to show staffers how to implement the security features.

"There's lots of things you can do to help protect email," Global Cyber Alliance president and CEO Phil Reitinger told CNN. "Use of DMARC is really table stakes for whether you're serious about email security."

In 2017, the Department of Homeland security told all federal agencies to implement the protocol.

Netanyahu to name Golan Heights settlement after President Trump

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu announced Tuesday that he will name a community in the contested Golan Heights region after President Trump.

Since Israel captured the Golan Heights in 1967 by defeating Syria in the Six-Day War, the area had gone unrecognized by major world leaders. But last month, Trump broke tradition and became the first US president to declare the middle-eastern land as Israeli.

“All Israelis were deeply moved when President Trump made his historic decision to recognize Israel’s sovereignty over the Golan Heights,” PM Netanyahu said in a statement on his YouTube page Tuesday.

“I intend to bring to the government a resolution calling for a new community on the Golan Heights named after President Donald J. Trump.”

TRUMP RECOGNITION THAT GOLAN HEIGHTS BELON TO ISRAEL SHOW HIS STRONG SUPPORT OF JEWISH STATE

In an official statement, Trump made the decision to recognize the land after “aggressive acts by Iran and terrorist groups, including Hezbollah, in southern Syria continue to make the Golan Heights a potential launching ground for attacks on Isreal.”

Syrian forces condemned the decision by Trump saying: “The decision…makes the United States the main enemy of the Arabs.”

President Trump’s most recent effort to defend Israel against foreign, taking place earlier this month, included the designation of Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guards as a terrorist group. Iran is currently the greatest military threat to Israel.

COEXISTENCE IN A 'DANGER' ZONE: AN INSIDE LOOK AT ISRAELI SETTLEMENTS IN THE WEST BANK

Netanyahu was re-elected as Prime Minister for a fourth term in the days following Trump’s designation. He tweeted out his gratitude for President Trump’s continued support in securing him the position.

“Prime Minister Netanyahu thanked President Trump for the tremendous support in Israel, including the recognition of Jerusalem and the Golan Heights, as well as for his steadfast stand against the Iran regime, which includes the president’s decision yesterday against Iran’s Revolutionary Guards,” Netanyahu tweeted.

Other Israeli officials have made efforts to thank Trump for his continued support.

In 2017, the Transportation Minister Israel Katz put forth plans to name a train station leading to the West Wall after Trump. The following year, Jerusalem Mayor Nir Barket announced a public square in the city would be named after the President.

“This is the way in which Jerusalem returns love to the president and residents of the United States who stand by the state of Israel,” Barket said in an official event.

Chris Christie: Ilhan Omar is ‘off her rocker’, AOC is a ‘joke’, should apologize for 9/11 comments

Rep. Ilhan Omar is "off her rocker" and her fellow member of Congress, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, is a "joke" who will be seen "ultimately as an asterisk" in history, according to former New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie.

Omar, D-Minn. is facing fierce backlash after a speech at a Muslim rights group's event in which she described the Sept. 11, 2001, terror attacks as "some people did something."

Speaking on the Brian Kilmeade Show on Fox News Radio, Christie, who initially thought his wife was in the Twin Towers on the day of the attacks, said: "As somebody who had my wife two blocks away from the World Trade Center that day, my brother on the floor of the New York Stock exchange, and a number of people in our local parish here who passed away, a murder occurred.

AOC, RASHIDA TLAIB LEAP TO DEFENSE OF ILHAN OMAR AFTER HER 'SOME PEOPLE DID SOMETHING' 9/11 REMARKS

"Multiple murders occurred, 2,900 murders occurred on that day by radical Islamic terrorists and that’s the way it should always be spoken about to honor those victims and this woman is completely – let’s put aside her religion for the moment - as a public servant, she’s off her rocker to be describing it that way and it’s a disgrace, it’s a disgrace to anyone in her congressional district who voted for her."

On fellow freshman Democrat Ocasio-Cortez, D-N.Y., who leapt to Omar's defense, Christie dismissed her as nothing more than a flash in the pan.

“This is the problem with people like Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez. They like to talk a lot, but they don’t want to be held responsible for anything they say, and the fact is that to diminish the attacks on 9/11, the greatest attack ever perpetrated on this country, on our soil from a terrorist organization, is to demean the lives that were lost that day, both among those who were in those buildings and on those planes, and those who lost their lives trying to save them.

ILHAN OMAR, IN BIZARRE CLIP, JOKES ABOUT PEOPLE SAYING 'AL QAEDA' IN MENACING TONE

"What she should do is apologize, and be done with it, because there’s no justifying it, and listen, part of it too Brian, is I’m so tired of hearing 'AOC' as she’s called, being given airtime in this country. She’s a joke.

"She got elected because a member of Congress [Joe Crowley] went to sleep and never went back to his district and was too busy running for speaker rather than running to keep his congressional seat and I think she will be seen ultimately as an asterisk in history because I can’t imagine she will stay all that long.

Omar told a Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) fundraiser earlier this week: “CAIR was founded after 9/11 because they recognized that some people did something, and that all of us were starting to lose access to our civil liberties."

CAIR was actually founded in 1994.

Her comments have drawn ire from the likes of Rep. Dan Crenshaw, R-Texas, and the New York Post, which published a dramatic front page Thursday with an infamous photo of New York City’s Twin Towers on fire on the day of the attacks.

ROD ROSENSTEIN SAYS IT'S 'COMPLETELY BIZARRE' TO SAY WILLIAM BARR IS 'TRYING TO MISLEAD PEOPLE' ON MUELLER REPORT

The page read: “Here’s your something: 2,977 people dead by terrorism.”

Christie also offered his thoughts about Julian Assange, calling him a "villain"

“In the end, I think Assange is a criminal and I think that’s what’s going to be proven when he’s brought to an American courtroom," he told Brian Kilmeade.

And on Bill Barr's testimony earlier this week, and James Comey's subsequent comments attempting to dismiss it, he said: "Jim has completely taken leave of his senses and to try to defend the indefensible, which goes all the way back to his conduct and what he said about Hillary Clinton in the summer of 2016, the letter he wrote in the fall of 2016, Jim is still trying to defend the indefensible.

Andrew McCabe: 'It's Possible' Trump Is Russian Asset

Former FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe theorized Tuesday that President Donald Trump could be an asset of Russian intelligence.

"I think it's possible – I think that's why we started our investigation, and I'm really anxious to see where [special counsel Robert] Mueller concludes that," McCabe told CNN's Anderson Cooper.

McCabe has done several television interviews in recent days as he publicizes his new book, "The Threat: How the FBI Protects America in the Age of Terror and Trump." He has made several claims against the president involving the FBI's probe into whether he was a national security threat and whether his campaign conspired with Russia to win the 2016 presidential election.

McCabe was fired one day before his retirement in March 2018, which caused him to lose part of his government pension.

Clinton-Ukraine collusion possibility ‘incredible,’ will be reviewed, Trump says

President Trump told Fox News' "Hannity" in a wide-ranging interview Thursday night that Attorney General Bill Barr is handling the "incredible" new revelations that Ukrainian actors apparently leaked damaging information about then-campaign chairman Paul Manafort to help Hillary Clinton's campaign.

Last month, Ukraine Prosecutor General Yurii Lutsenko opened a probe into the so-called black ledger files that led to Manafort's departure from the Trump campaign, after an unearthed audio recording apparently revealed that a senior Ukrainian anticorruption official admitted to disclosing Manafort's information to benefit Clinton.

Asked by host Sean Hannity whether Americans need to see the results of Ukraine's ongoing investigation into whether officials in that country worked with the Clinton team, Trump replied: "I think they do."

With that remark, Trump echoed his personal attorney Rudy Giuliani, who wrote on Twitter on Wednesday: "Keep your eye on Ukraine."

FBI TOLD FISA COURT 4 TIMES THAT YAHOO ARTICLE WAS INDEPENDENT BASIS TO BELIEVE DOSSIER. ONE PROBLEM: IT WAS NOT

A Ukrainian court recently ruled that the Manafort leak amounted to illegal interference in the U.S. election.

FBI Deputy Assistant Director Peter Strzok is seated to testify before the House Committees on the Judiciary and Oversight and Government Reform during a hearing on "Oversight of FBI and DOJ Actions Surrounding the 2016 Election," on Capitol Hill, Thursday, July 12, 2018, in Washington. (Associated Press)

Separately, a 2017 investigation by Politico found that Ukrainian officials not only publicly sought to undermine Trump by questioning his fitness for office, but also worked behind the scenes to secure a Clinton victory.

Among other initiatives, Politico found, the Ukrainian government worked with a DNC consultant to conduct opposition research against Trump, including going after former Trump campaign chairman Paul Manafort for Russian ties, helping lead to his resignation.

FOX NEWS EXCLUSIVE: INTERNAL FBI TEXTS MESSAGES SUGGEST FBI WANTED TO MONITOR TRUMP TEAM DURING INTEL BRIEFINGS

"I defer to the attorney general, and we'll see what he says about it," Trump told Hannity.

Trump also unloaded on former FBI officials Peter Strzok and Lisa Page, following a Fox News report earlier in the day concerning newly revealed internal text messages between the two.

The messages indicated they discussed using briefings to the Trump team after the 2016 election to identify people they could "develop for potential relationships," track lines of questioning and "assess" changes in "demeanor" – language one GOP lawmaker called “more evidence” of irregular conduct in the original Russia probe.

"They were trying to infiltrate the administration," Trump told host Sean Hannity. "Really, it's a coup. It's spying. It's hard to believe in this country we would have had that."

"They were trying to infiltrate the administration. Really, it's a coup. It's spying. It's hard to believe in this country we would have had that."

— President Trump

Trump called the news "very disconcerting" and emphasized that Strzok and Page used their government-issued phones not only to exchange numerous anti-Trump text messages but also to hide their extramarital affair from their spouses.

"They were going hog wild to find something about the administration, which obviously wasn't there," Trump charged, referring to Strzok and Page as "two beauties," "lovers," and "sick, sick people" who are "like children, when you look at them."

"They're trying to infiltrate the White House, long after the election," Trump said. "This is a disgrace. Hopefully the attorney general will do what's right, and I believe he will. ... It's possibly the greatest scandal in the history of this country."

"Hopefully the attorney general will do what's right, and I believe he will. ... It's possibly the greatest scandal in the history of this country."

— President Trump

As for his widely mocked tweet that the Obama intelligence community had wiretapped Trump Tower -- which was followed months later by the revelation that the FBI had, in fact, monitored one of his former aides -- Trump said his remarks were the product of a "little bit of a hunch” and a “little bit of wisdom."

STRZOK'S PHONE FROM MUELLER PROBE TOTALLY WIPED. FBI BLAMES SOFTWARE GLITCH FOR OTHER DELETIONS

Trump additionally voiced little confidence in Robert Mueller, saying the special counsel was perhaps "best friends" with former FBI Director James Comey -- whose termination led to Mueller's appointment.

Trump also faulted Mueller for, in his view, needlessly wrecking the careers of many members of his team.

Trump asserted he had "turned down" Mueller to head the FBI, and that Mueller was "conflicted" not only "because of the fact that Comey and him are best friends," but also because Trump "had a nasty business transaction" with Mueller.

(Associated Press)

That was an apparent reference to an episode, referenced in Mueller's report, in which Mueller sought a refund -- apparently unsuccessfully -- from Trump after withdrawing from membership in his golf club.

But Trump said it was a "very good" sign that the New York Times acknowledged in a recent article that there were credibility problems in the discredited dossier that the FBI used to justify surveilling one of his campaign aides.

The Times finally joined a chorus of publications that have long cast doubt on the dossier's veracity, writing that the document "financed by Hillary Clinton’s campaign and the Democratic National Committee" was "likely to face new, possibly harsh scrutiny from multiple inquiries."

The article noted that British ex-spy Christopher Steele relied in part on Russian sources and that, ironically, the document could have been part of a "Russian disinformation" effort to smear Trump even as Moscow was going after Clinton.

CLICK HERE TO GET THE FOX NEWS APP

The article, Trump said, suggested that dossier skepticism, once panned as denialism, has entered the mainstream, as Mueller's report found "some of the most sensational claims in the dossier appeared to be false, and others were impossible to prove."

As he did in his previous interview on "Hannity," Trump vowed to declassify and release not only the documents related to the surveillance warrants to surveil his campaign, and even more.

"Everything's going to be declassified, and more," Trump said. "It'll all be declassified."

"Everything's going to be declassified, and more. It'll all be declassified."

— President Trump

Responding to the entrance of Joe Biden in the 2020 presidential race, Trump emphasized the economic growth and health care successes for veterans under his administration, who "don't have to die waiting in line" anymore.

Biden attracted mockery on Thursday for insisting that he told former President Barack Obama not to endorse his run.

"I've known Joe over the years. He's not the brightest lightbulb in the group," Trump said. "But he has a name they know."

NEW DELHI/MUMBAI (Reuters) – The grounding of India’s Jet Airways is turning into a quick windfall and long-term opportunity for international airlines keen to scoop up nearly a million outbound passengers from what was once the nation’s biggest airline.

Jet, which previously had a fleet of around 120 largely Boeing Co planes, was forced to indefinitely halt all flight operations on April 17 after its banks rejected the carrier’s plea for emergency funds.

The carrier’s descent into crisis has benefited international airlines in the form of rising fares and demand, data showed.

Fares from India to cities such as Dubai, London, New York, Singapore and Bali in the first quarter of 2019 rose between 4 percent and 32 percent from a year ago, according to Indian travel portal MakeMyTrip Ltd.

In the peak travel months of May and June, fares to London have spiked as much as 36 percent and tickets to San Francisco are up nearly 20 percent from a year ago, according to data from travel portal Yatra.com.

“For the next three months it’s actually bonanza time for international players,” said Ashish Nainan, a research analyst at CARE Ratings. “At least until the middle of June, the fares are not going to come down.”

Due to rising demand, even before Jet’s lessors grounded planes, carriers such as British Airways, Cathay Pacific Airways Ltd, Singapore Airlines Ltd and United Airlines saw an up to a 27 percent increase in passenger numbers from India in the last quarter of 2018, data from India’s aviation regulator showed. That is the latest period for which the data is available.

India is one of the world’s fastest-growing aviation markets, clocking 15-20 percent domestic growth in recent years. It has long had only two full-service long-haul carriers, state-run Air India and Jet.

Jet is now hoping to be bailed out by a new investor, with final bids due on May 10.

INCREASING CAPACITY

Before its grounding, Jet had the biggest share of India’s outbound international air traffic, carrying 12 percent of the 7.8 million passengers headed overseas in the Oct-Dec quarter, down from 14 percent a year earlier, data from the Directorate General of Civil Aviation showed.

For an interactive graphic on Jet’s market share, click https://tmsnrt.rs/2WvDQYi

For an interactive graphic on average daily flights by the airline, click https://tmsnrt.rs/2FeFDel

The total number of passengers traveling overseas with Jet fell 10 percent during the last quarter of 2018 even as the outbound travel market grew about 5 percent.

Meanwhile, Singapore Airlines posted a 27 percent increase in passengers from India, Cathay registered 17 percent growth and British Airways saw a 10 percent rise in the same period.

Cathay said the events at Jet combined with increasing demand for travel had led it to deploy larger aircraft with more seats on some Indian routes.

“In the long term we would certainly like to be able to offer more capacity into India, not just on our existing routes but by establishing new services to secondary cities,” Cathay said in a statement.

Singapore Airlines, in an email to Reuters, said the Indian market is “very promising” but declined to give details of airfare levels or demand patterns in the wake of Jet’s exit, citing a quiet period before the release of its annual results.

DOMESTIC GAINS

Jet’s grounding has also had a big impact on the domestic market, with inter-city air fares to major cities such as New Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru and Kolkata soaring more than 20 percent in May and June, according to Yatra.com.

The spike in fares is expected to underpin strong earnings for IndiGo and SpiceJet Ltd, which are set to report results for the quarter ended March 31 in the coming weeks.

“Domestic Indian carriers are the main benefactors, but I suspect if Jet fails to be revived by May 10 then Vistara and other airlines that ply international routes, particularly the lucrative Gulf market, are the main winners,” said Shukor Yusof, the head of aviation consultancy Endau Analytics. Vistara is a joint venture of India’s Tata Sons and Singapore Airlines.

Inadequate bilateral traffic rights between India and other countries, however, could be an impediment to foreign carriers’ hopes of winning business lost by Jet, some analysts said.

“Even before Jet’s operational shutdown, international capacity was significantly constrained,” said Kapil Kaul, CEO for South Asia of consultancy CAPA. “We have now more serious capacity challenge … this is unlikely to be stabilized in the near term.”

A new national government likely to be in place sometime after elections end in May is expected to address the international capacity constraints, and once bilateral agreements are eased airlines including Emirates, Turkish and Qatar would immediately benefit, said Kaul.

“We would love to add more flights but we are at the limit of the allocation granted to us for traffic rights,” Emirates Chief Commercial Officer Thierry Antinori told reporters in Dubai on Wednesday.

It’s the type of crime that doesn’t happen every day.

Police in the suburbs of Philadelphia say three suspects broke into a medical facility in Wynnewood, Pennsylvania, last Saturday and fled with 18 colonoscopies – devices used for examining the health of patients’ colons.

The devices were reportedly worth a total of about $450,000, authorities said.

But police were perplexed about what the suspects might have planned to do with the instruments.

“This is not something that a typical pawn shop might accept,” Lower Merion Police Detective Sergeant Michael Vice told Philadelphia’s WCAU-TV. “My feeling would be that it was some type of black market sales.”

Such a market apparently does exist, Lower Merion Police Superintendent Michael J. McGrath told Philly.com.

“They appeared to know precisely where to go, and they pried the door open,” McGrath said of the suspects, who were captured on surveillance video leaving the facility, carrying bulging backpacks.

BEIJING (Reuters) – British finance minister Philip Hammond said on Friday that he had a “very constructive meeting” with his counterpart in the opposition Labour Party before leaving for Beijing and that he was optimistic about finding common ground.

Hammond, speaking on the sidelines of a summit on China’s Belt and Road initiative in Beijing, said talks with Labour aimed at finding a way forward on Brexit had not stalled.

“I’m optimistic that we will find common ground,” he said. “Both sides have got clear positions and both sides will have to compromise in order to reach an agreement.”

Hammond added that he absolutely did not favor a no deal exit from the European Union.

NICOSIA (Reuters) – Cypriot police searched on Friday for more victims of a suspected serial killer, in a case which has shocked the Mediterranean island and exposed the authorities to charges of “criminal indifference” because the dead women were foreigners.

The main opposition party, the left-wing AKEL, called for the resignation of Cyprus’s justice minister and police chief.

Police were combing three different locations west of the capital Nicosia for victims of the suspected killer, a 35-year-old army officer who has been in detention for a week.

The bodies of three women, including two thought to be from the Philippines, have been recovered. Police sources said the suspect had indicated the location of the third body, found on Thursday, and had said the person was “either Indian or Nepali”.

Police said they were searching for a further four people, including two children, based on the suspect’s testimony.

“These women came here to earn a living, to help their families. They lived away from their families. And the earth swallowed them, nobody was interested,” AKEL lawmaker Irene Charalambides told Reuters.

“This killer will be judged by the court but the other big question is the criminal indifference shown by the others when the reports first surfaced. I believe, as does my party, that the justice minister and the police chief should resign. They are irrevocably exposed.”

Police have said they will investigate any perceived shortcomings in their handling of the case.

One person who did attempt to alert the authorities over the disappearances, a 70-year-old Cypriot citizen, said his motives were questioned by police.

The bodies of the two Filipino women reported missing in May and August 2018 were found in an abandoned mine shaft this month. Police discovered the body of the third woman at an army firing range about 14 km (9 miles) from the mine shaft.

Police are now searching for the six-year-old daughter of the first victim found, a Romanian mother who disappeared with her eight-year-old child in 2016, and a woman from the Phillipines who vanished in Dec. 2017.

The suspect has not been publicly named, in line with Cypriot legal practice.

A public vigil for the missing was planned later on Friday.

LONDON, April 26 – British factories stockpiled raw materials and goods ahead of Brexit at the fastest pace since records began in the 1950s, and they were increasingly downbeat about their prospects, a survey showed on Friday.

The Confederation of British Industry’s (CBI) quarterly survey of the manufacturing industry showed expectations for export orders in the next three months fell to their lowest level since mid-2009, when Britain was reeling from the global financial crisis.

The record pace of stockpiling recorded by the CBI was mirrored by the closely-watched IHS Markit/CIPS purchasing managers’ index published earlier this month.
