DOYLESTOWN, Pa.

Dozens of cats have been seized from a Pennsylvania townhome where authorities say they were living in squalid conditions.

Authorities announced Tuesday that they have taken at least 141 live cats from the Doylestown home, while nearly 60 dead cats were found inside the residence. They say there was “a lot of urine and feces everywhere you go” inside the home.

The surviving cats were taken to a shelter in nearby Lahaska where they were receiving medical treatment. But further details about the cats and their conditions were not disclosed.

The person living in the home is expected to face charges. Their name has not been released.

A man who rejected a plea deal in the killings of four men found buried on a suburban Philadelphia farm wants prosecutors barred from using statements he made to investigators.

Twenty-two-year-old Sean Kratz is accused of helping his cousin Cosmo DiNardo lure the victims to the farm in 2017, ambush and kill them, burn their bodies and crush one with a backhoe before burial. Prosecutors say the cousins went for cheesesteaks afterward.

DiNardo pleaded guilty to murder in exchange for multiple life sentences, but Kratz rejected an offer calling for a 59- to 118-year sentence.

Defense attorney A. Charles Peruto Jr. argues Kratz didn’t fully understand the deal’s conditions and his statements shouldn’t be used at trial.

A judge Tuesday rejected prosecutors’ bid for testimony from Kratz’s former attorney.

A judge has ruled that a groom can go to trial on charges he forced himself on a teenage waitress at his wedding reception.

Matthew Aimers, of Willingboro, New Jersey, arrived at court Thursday in Bucks County, Pennsylvania, with his new wife at his side.

The judge upheld all charges, including indecent assault, indecent exposure, imprisonment of a minor and related offenses in the November conflict at the Northampton Valley Country Club in Richboro.

Aimers’ attorney, Louis Busico, says his client “denies and rejects” the accusations by the waitress, who is now 18. He says Aimers’ wife, Kayla, “150 percent supports him.”

An affidavit says the waitress had spurned Aimers’ advances during the reception. Police allege he followed her into a bathroom and sexually assaulted her. He was taken from the hall in handcuffs after a drunken brawl.

The Philadelphia Inquirer reports that the accuser testified Thursday and that spectators were removed from the courtroom.

A jury outside Philadelphia has sentenced a man to die for raping, strangling and dismembering his girlfriend’s 14-year-old daughter.

Forty-six-year-old Jacob Sullivan had pleaded guilty to first-degree murder and other offenses for killing Grace Packer in 2016 as part of a rape-murder fantasy he shared with the teen’s mother.

Jurors decided Thursday that Sullivan should get the death penalty. The jury deliberated over parts of three days before making its decision.

Prosecutors had asked the panel to send Sullivan to death row, saying his victim’s life "ended in a house of horrors."

Pennsylvania has a moratorium on the death penalty, but juries can still impose the sentence.

Grace Packer’s mother, Sara Packer, is due to plead guilty for her role in the gruesome plot. In a plea deal with prosecutors, she’ll be sentenced to life without parole.
