LSU beat Maryland Saturday afternoon, and the refs really might have blown this one.

Tremont Waters hit the game winner in the final seconds of the second round matchup in the NCAA tournament against the Terrapins for the Tigers. (RELATED: The March Madness Bracket Has Been Released)

There’s just one major issue. It appears that Waters took at least three steps after picking up his dribble. Watch the play below.

My friends, I’m not sure how many more steps you need before the refs blow the whistle. Obviously, at this point it doesn’t matter anymore.

The refs aren’t going to change the outcome of the game, but it clearly should have been a turnover. There’s no doubt in my mind that Waters took an extra step, and the refs clearly blew the call.

LSU will now be in the Sweet 16, and the rest of us will debate endlessly if the Terrapins got absolutely hosed here. In my mind, it’s not even a question.

That game should have gone into overtime, and it’s not even close.

The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) was alerted Friday after a drunk passenger reportedly urinated on a woman’s luggage during an American Airlines flight from Chicago to Charlotte.

The incident occurred on flight 1344, which arrived in Charlotte, North Carolina, Thursday morning, The Associated Press reported Saturday.

“Due to an intoxicated passenger, American Airlines requested law enforcement meet flight 1344 once it arrived in Charlotte at 12:52 a.m. on Thursday,” American Airlines said to The Daily Caller News Foundation over email Saturday.

Police notified the FBI of the incident Friday, The Charlotte Observer reported.

It is unclear whether there will be criminal charges. (RELATED: 8 Americans Die In Plane Crash That Has China Grounding Planes)

When the news dropped that Robert Mueller had submitted his report to Attorney General Bill Barr without any further indictments, liberal pundits had to process their dismay on live television, and the result was a combination of hysteria, disbelief, and denial.

Chris Matthews, for instance, famously felt a thrill go up his leg over Barack Obama in 2009, but he seemed to feel a chill going down his spine as he reported that Mueller would not be making any further indictments.

The MSNBC host was in rare form Friday night, angrily biting off each word as he demanded to know, “Why. Was there never. An interrogation. Of this president.”

Matthews refused to believe that the “experts” who have been assuring him and his liberal audience for nearly two years that Mueller’s investigation would result in criminal charges against President Trump could have been wrong the whole time.

Matthews long ago determined in his own mind that the president is guilty of obstruction of justice and collusion, and the “experts” he hosts on his show have reinforced that conclusion so firmly that Matthews seemed genuinely unable to understand why Mueller did not file any charges against Donald Trump, asking, “How can they let Trump off the hook?”

The host was particularly incensed that President Trump never had to “sit down with the Special Counsel Mueller and answer his damn questions,” wondering, “How can that happen?!”

Matthews was obviously experiencing the second stage of grief, which is anger. His MSNBC colleague, Rachel Maddow, on the other hand, expressed her anguish somewhat differently. Apparently, she was still stuck in the first stage, which is denial.

“Our job tonight as a country sort of — or at least what everybody in the country is going to be doing tonight, is trying to figure out what it means that the report of special counsel Robert Mueller has finally been submitted,” Maddow said near the beginning of her show, in between pained facial expressions.

“In terms of what that means and what Mueller found, we know only the smallest little bits,” she added. “This is the start of something, apparently, not the end of something.”

That assessment is a comical mix of wishful thinking and delusion. The fact that Mueller submitted his report means only one thing: that he’s finished with his investigation. Maddow is probably correct that “this is the start of something,” since Democrats in Congress have made it clear that they plan to subject President Trump to endless investigations in the hopes of uncovering something that Mueller couldn’t, but the Mueller probe is over, no matter how cartoonishly Maddow grimaces.

In between the Matthews and Maddow meltdowns, a stone-faced Jim Acosta went on CNN to discuss the “glee” that the President’s supporters are feeling now that Mueller has submitted his report and will not pursue any additional indictments.

Acosta very evidently didn’t share in that glee, sounding as though he was on the verge of gagging when he quoted a Trump campaign advisor as saying that “this is a great day for America.”

To wash the taste of MAGA out of his mouth, Acosta immediately pivoted to speculating that Mueller’s report might still contain damaging information about President Trump. Realizing that such a long-shot hypothetical circumstance probably offered cold comfort to CNN viewers, Acosta also interjected that “we still don’t know the conclusion of what’s happening in the Southern District of New York,” then reminded his audience that Democrats in Congress will accuse the administration of a cover-up if so much as a single word is redacted from the Mueller report when it is released to the public.

This is despite the fact that Acosta and congressional leaders are well aware that information derived from grand jury testimony and a host of other sources cannot be disclosed by the attorney general.

The mixture of sputtering outrage, wishful thinking, and excuse-making that pervaded the cable news networks Friday night reveals that even the most liberal partisans know that Mueller’s report will be the death knell of the Russia collusion hoax they’ve been perpetuating since before Mueller was even appointed.

They’ll sort through their grief eventually through the next stages, but that won’t end their public displays of humiliation, evidently.

Democratic New York Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez attacked the GOP Saturday — for calling a vote on the Green New Deal that she proposed.

Calling it a “bluff-vote” designed to help Republicans campaign, the freshman Democrat tweeted, “The GOP’s whole game of wasting votes in Congress to target others ‘on the record’, for leg they have no intent to pass, is a disgrace.”

Many were quick to respond, however, that it seemed odd for someone to propose legislation at all if she didn’t actually want people to vote on it.

And then a few noted that it was doubly odd that Ocasio-Cortez wouldn’t want the specific legislation voted on — especially since she has referred to the climate fight as her generation’s “World War II” and has claimed that there’s 12 years left to live. Bill Maher claimed Friday that Democrats may have “put too much trust” in special counsel Robert Mueller after the latter released his report with no new indictments.

“I don’t need the Mueller report to know Trump is a traitor. I have a TV,” Maher said. (RELATED: Ben Shapiro Drowns Bill Maher In Logic On Civility: ‘I Needed 600 Officers To Protect Me At Berkeley’)

But Maher, like many others in the media, only came to this conclusion — that Mueller’s report is essentially irrelevant to what he’s certain happened regardless of evidence — when it became clear that the president was not going to be led away from the White House in handcuffs.

Take a look at the glowing praise Maher had for Mueller in the months leading up to Friday’s announcement.

Former Vice President Joe Biden and failed Georgia gubernatorial candidate Stacey Abrams have not hatched “a grand plan” to announce a joint ticket for 2020, according to their respective camps.

Rumors circulated earlier in the week that Biden, who has not officially declared a bid for the 2020 Democratic nomination, might come out of the gate with his running mate already chosen: Abrams.

But by Friday afternoon, both camps had responded to the reports — in the negative. (RELATED: Biden Says He’s Almost All In On 2020, But Worries About Trump’s Take No Prisoners Approach)

Bill Russo, Biden’s communications director, tweeted that the former VP certainly has great respect for the failed Georgia gubernatorial candidate — “but these rumors about discussions on a pre-cooked ticket are false, plain and simple.”

Abrams’ former campaign manager, Lauren Groh-Wargo, admitted that the Georgia Democrat had met with Biden but added quickly, “There was no grand plan hatched and no additional conversations between the two of them or our teams since.”

OTTAWA — Ontario Premier Doug Ford praised President Donald Trump’s policies Saturday during an address to the 2019 Manning Networking Conference and said he “couldn’t ask for a better neighbor” than the United States.

Ford, who has been likened to Trump because of his populist politics, told the audience that he doesn’t resent the comparison but would only insist that “I’m Doug Ford,” and Trump “has his hands full” with domestic and foreign policies concerns.

But the premier focused on the positive as he addressed a crowd of 1,500 conservative politicians, activists, businesspeople and opinion leaders.

“Let’s look at the polices. Forget the person. All of a sudden Donald Trump gets elected and he cuts all the regulation, cuts the red tape —  and when you cut the regulations it’s even better than giving a tax cut,  because it gets things moving. He ended up lowering the corporate tax rate from 35 percent down to 21 percent.” (RELATED: 12-T-1: That’s How Many Regulations Trump Reportedly Repealed For Every New One Issued)

Ford said the combination of deregulation and a corporate tax cut has created a “booming” American economy “and in my opinion, when the U.S. is booming, Canada is booming.” He said policies like these create an environment for job creation: “government doesn’t create jobs — when government creates jobs we’re all in trouble:”

Ford noted that if Ontario were a sovereign country, it would be America’s third largest trading partner, producing “$350 billion in two-way trade,” adding, “You couldn’t ask for a better neighbor anywhere in the world than the United States of America.”

If Ford had any criticism of his southern neighbor it was only how so many illegal immigrants are coming across the border.

“No matter where you are in the world, you stand in line. You don’t jump the line, because if you jump the line, all heck breaks loose. That’s what’s happening right now. We have some folks coming over here … they’re landing in LaGuardia [airport] or New York,  they’re hopping on a bus and they’re going to up Lacolle, Quebec and they’re walking across the border,” Ford said. “And you know who’s frustrated the most? It’s our base: new Canadians … and the new Canadians are ticked-off and the reason they’re ticked-off is because their brother, mother, sister is in this line waiting to get in … ”

Ford said new Canadians are angry that illegals are queue-jumping and getting free medical care, legal aid and “we’re putting thousands of these people up in hotels.”

Ford also shared his media strategy with an appreciative audience that applauded when he remarked that most media are “far left.”

It’s not unheard of for political candidates to try to prove to voters that they’re “just like us,” but some of the Democratic presidential candidates are going a little overboard with their efforts.

When presidential hopeful Beto O’Rourke isn’t posting strange videos online, he’s causing a scene at coffee shops. Apparently no counter top in this country is safe from O’Rourke’s dirty shoes.

Democratic New York Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand recently posted a video of herself pumping iron, and former Democratic Colorado Gov. John Hickenlooper admitted to watching an X-rated movie with his mom. (RELATED: Hickenlooper Admits He Accidentally Took His Mom to See an X-Rated Movie)

A ton of people tuned in on CBS to see Duke beat North Dakota State 85-62 Friday night.

According to TVByTheNumbers, 6.2 million people watched Zion Williamson and company stomp all over the Bison in the first round of the NCAA tournament. (RELATED: The March Madness Bracket Has Been Released)

That number led the TV ratings for Friday night by a massive margin and was more than two million more followers than the same time slot Thursday.

This is great news for America. I was a little worried when the ratings took a dive on CBS Thursday. That wasn’t a good sign at all, but it looks like it was a one off event. (RELATED: March Madness TV Ratings On CBS Plummet 26 Percent)

Of course, the Duke Blue Devils are the biggest draw in the sport right now. Even with Kentucky playing Thursday on CBS, I’m not the least bit surprised that Coach K’s squad garnered higher ratings.

Zion Williamson generates massive amounts of attention. It’s just that simple.

MSNBC host Joy Reid said the Mueller investigation conclusion “feels like the seeds of a cover-up” during a Saturday panel discussion on “AM Joy.”

Reid was responding to a panelist who contended that no Trump administration officials have “conducted themselves honorably through this entire process” and that Attorney General William Barr would be no different.

“That’s the challenge,” Reid responded before taking issue with the Mueller investigation taking place outside of Congress.

“The fact that this investigation takes place within the justice Department which Donald Trump essentially controls and that he got rid of the problem, Jeff Sessions, who the one decent thing that he did was just recuse himself, this guy is not recused, it feels like the seeds of a cover-up are here,” she said. (RELATED: Rachel Maddow Spends Opening Segment About Mueller Report On Verge Of Tears)

Malcolm Nance pushed back on the idea of an overt cover-up.

“Well, I mean, theoretically it could happen, right?” said Nance. “These are humans. They are all fallible maybe he does feel some sort of loyalty to him. Bill Barr is one guy. There are secretaries. There are people who have to handle these documents. There are the FBI agents who did this themselves. I don’t think that there’s room for a cover-up because why cover up the greatest scandal in the history of the United States with the greatest scandal in the history of the United States, an attorney general trying to engineer that. I don’t believe that’s going to happen because if they do, then you can just see copies of this thing falling out by the palate load in front of The Washington Post.”

Nevertheless, Nance still went on to compare President Trump to Benedict Arnold.
