BEIJING (Reuters) – China aims to send millions of students to work as volunteers in rural communities and set up entrepreneur organizations, as it renews a push to narrow a yawning gap between rural and urban regions, an official document showed.

The drive reflects the ruling Communist Party’s desire to raise the status of rural areas, where 577 million people live or which they call home, to avert a risk of social unrest, boost consumption and investment, and rein in growth of big cities.

Productivity has slumped in China’s greying countryside, mostly dominated by small farmholdings and low-end industries, and which has suffered a brain drain so severe that President Xi Jinping has called for talent to return to the countryside.

Such a move would once have been unthinkable for a nation that considers urbanization a ticket to prosperity.

In a March 22 document, the Communist Youth League (CYL) said it aimed to organize more than 10 million volunteering trips by 2022 for students pursuing technical degrees, seeking to deepen a “rural rejuvenation” drive christened by Xi.

Students taking such trips, mostly during summer holidays, will spread knowledge on topics from science to finance and environment protection, besides joining in cultural activities and helping in educational and medical services, it added.

It is unclear, however, what incentives the government will offer to attract students, or if the trips will be mandatory.

The League also plans to help 100,000 young migrant workers return to rural hometowns to work or start businesses, aiming for more than 80 percent of rural counties to set up a “youth entrepreneur organization” by 2022, it added.

Scepticism about the possible effectiveness of such policies has grown online, since rural earnings remain low and millennials living in cities are disconnected from their families’ roots in the countryside.

Some critics online have compared the plan to Chairman Mao Zedong’s program of more than five decades ago that effectively exiled millions of fresh high school graduates from the cities to remote areas to be “re-educated”, rooting out what he saw as bourgeois thinking.

“I thought it’s a document from the 1960s,” wrote Zhenglixiaodao, a user on China’s Twitter-like Weibo.

Author and philosopher Roger Scruton was fired from his position as an adviser to the UK government on housing after he accurately stated that “Islamophobia” was “a propaganda word invented by the Muslim Brotherhood”.

Scruton lost his role as chair of the Building Better Building Beautiful Commission over comments he made to the New Statesman during an interview.

Scruton said Islamophobia was “a propaganda word invented by the Muslim Brotherhood in order to stop discussion of a major issue.”

And he’s completely correct. The term “Islamophobia” was created in the 90’s by Islamists as a way of silencing criticism of Islam by labeling it as hate speech.

As Claire Berlinski writes, “The neologism “Islamophobia” did not simply emerge ex nihilo. It was invented, deliberately, by a Muslim Brotherhood front organization, the International Institute for Islamic Thought, which is based in Northern Virginia.”

Scruton, at least partly, has been fired for telling the truth.

In the same interview, Scruton also said “each Chinese person is a kind of replica of the next one.”

However, the full context of the quote was edited out of the interview, making Scruton’s statement sound racist even though he was actually talking about the Chinese Communist Party, not Chinese people as a race.

He also defended Hungarian President Victor Orban, saying Hungarians were “alarmed by the sudden invasion of huge tribes of Muslims from the Middle East” (another fact).

WASHINGTON (Reuters) – The FBI is examining whether a Chinese woman who bluffed her way into President Donald Trump’s Mar-a-Lago resort last weekend had any links to Chinese intelligence or political influence operations, two U.S. government sources said on Thursday.

In a case that renewed concerns about security at Trump’s private club in Florida, the U.S. Secret Service arrested Yujing Zhang on Saturday after she got through perimeter checkpoints and raised suspicions when questioned about her visit.

When she was arrested, Zhang was carrying four cellphones, a laptop computer, an external hard drive and a thumb drive containing what investigators described as “malicious malware.”

Federal authorities charged Zhang with making false statements and entering a restricted area. She is being held in custody pending a court hearing next week.

Since he took office in January 2017, Trump has regularly visited Mar-a-Lago, a commercial business in Palm Beach that he still owns and where he is in close and frequent contact with club members and guests, dining and socializing.

Congressional Democrats raised questions on Wednesday about security at the club but Trump brushed off the concerns, calling the incident a “fluke” and praising the Secret Service.

Two current government sources said that the FBI was looking into possible counter-intelligence implications of the incident, however.

Zhang told one Secret Service agent she was at Mar-a-Lago to use the swimming pool and later told another agent she was there to attend a U.N. Chinese American Association event. A receptionist determined no such event was scheduled and Zhang was escorted off the premises and arrested.

House Intelligence Committee Chairman Adam Schiff said on Wednesday the leadership of the group Zhang identified as her host had “apparent connections” to a Chinese Communist Party unit called the United Front Work Department.

A source familiar with Trump administration policy on China said the department was part of the Communist Party’s Central Committee operation in Beijing, located “right across” from the compound which houses Chinese leaders.

A former U.S. government expert on Chinese intelligence operations, who asked not to be named while discussing sensitive information, said investigators would want to know, “Why, exactly, was she there? A decoy, a diversion, a feint, probing the perimeter for a substantive operation?”

The White House declined to comment on the FBI’s counter-intelligence investigation or related questions, and referred questions to the Secret Service, which had no immediate comment.

Representative Elijah Cummings, the Democratic chairman of the U.S. House Oversight Committee, said the Secret Service, which protects the president, will brief him and top committee Republican Jim Jordan on the incident.

Guangzhou, the capital of China’s Guangdong Province, is offering to pay citizens in exchange for information on “illegal religious groups” as the Communist Party of China continues to crack down on all forms of religious activity. This includes the remains of the “underground” Catholic Church, not aligned with the recent deals made between the Jesuits and China.

Groups that are not officially registered with the Chinese Communist Party, are now subject to severe persecution, including the detention and forced Communist indoctrination of members and leaders, the destruction of shrines and church buildings, and, in the case of Muslim ethnic minorities in western China, indoctrination and forced-labor internment camps.

As the Associated Press reported, the website of the Guangzhou Department of Ethnic and Religious Affairs states it is now offering up to 10,000 Chinese yuan, roughly $15,000, for information on the activities of “underground” Catholic Churchs and other religious groups, that could eventually lead to the arrest of key leaders. The Sinicization of religion has been pushed by President Xi Jinping, who took power in 2013 and who has strengthened government oversight of religious activities.

In the last few weeks, disturbing reports of the destruction or desecration of Evangelical Churches, “underground” Catholic churches and shrines throughout China. Under President Xi Jinping, the clearly Satanic Chinese government has destroyed churches or removed their steeples and crosses as part of a campaign that reflects the Communist Party’s longstanding fear that Christianity, viewed as a Western philosophy, is a threat to the party’s authority, demonstrating once again the Satanic Nature of Communism.

In December of last year, the Golden Lampstand Church in the Shanxi Province was destroyed by paramilitary police officers, and is the perfect example of what the Chi-com Satanists are capable of doing. Remember, Communism is Satanism in disguise and much more than a mere political system.

A growing number of Catholics are deeply disturbed that the Vatican has forged such an alliance with China’s repressive regime, that is persecuting “Underground” Catholics, but Pope Francis and the Jesuits don’t care.

President Trump just met with Google’s CEO Sundar Pichai to discuss the company’s dealings with China as well as “political fairness,” which suggests the president brought up online censorship.

Interestingly, the meeting was not on the president’s schedule; according to a report, Pichai had initially planned to meet with General Joseph Dunford on Wednesday, who recently blasted Google’s work in China by stating it “indirectly benefits the Chinese military.”

“Typically if a company does business in China, they are automatically going to be required to have a cell of the Communist Party in that company,” he recently stated. “And that is going to lead to that intellectual property from that company finding its way to the Chinese military.”

“It is a distinction without a difference between the Chinese Communist Party, the government and the Chinese military.”

These statements by Dunfort, the chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, must have caught the president’s attention.

It’s not yet clear if Dunford was at the meeting or if Pichai had met with him separately.

The meeting apparently didn’t revolve entirely around China; the president also indicated that he  talked to Pichai about “political fairness” in the US.

Google has been routinely accused of political bias, most recently by the Washington Free Beacon which reported evidence suggesting that the search giant was steering users away from the news that the Mueller probe would not lead to any new indictments:

Using Google search on multiple browsers and on private-browsing mode, the Free Beacon found Google search had an aversion to the search term “indictment.”

Using either “Trump” or “Mueller” as the subject, the following word “indictment” was not suggested even after spelling out most of it. For example, putting “Trump indi” into Google’s search bar does not lead to “Trump indictment” but rather to “Trump India,” “Trump India Pakistan,” Trump India tariffs,” and “Trump Indiana.”

This problem did not occur with Google’s search engine competitors, Yahoo and Bing. Those search engines suggested news about the indictments when you typed in the related words.

Now that President Trump has been cleared of “collusion” with Russia, Deep State actors are now blaming President Obama for directing them in the first place.

Last week, when a deranged lunatic gunned down dozens of Muslims at two mosques in New Zealand it suddenly became the biggest news story in the world, and rightly so.

It was a major news event, and it needed to be reported.  But shouldn’t mass killings of Christians be given the same sort of media coverage?  Sadly, we all know that doesn’t happen.  Whenever there is a mass killing of Christians, it is usually entirely ignored by the mainstream media in the United States, and it doesn’t take a genius to figure out why this is happening.  Those that control the mainstream media consider Christians to be one of the main obstacles to “progress” in this country, and so any story that would put Christians in a positive or sympathetic light simply does not fit any of the narratives that they are pushing.

As a result of the lack of media coverage, the vast majority of Americans do not know that “4,136 Christians were killed for faith-related reasons” last year.

That number breaks down to an average of 11 per day.

In Nigeria, more than 120 Christians have been gunned down or killed with machetes over the past three weeks, but Breitbart was the only big media outlet to report on it…

As Breitbart News alone reported among major news outlets, Fulani jihadists racked up a death toll of over 120 Christians over the past three weeks in central Nigeria, employing machetes and gunfire to slaughter men, women, and children, burning down over 140 houses, destroying property, and spreading terror.

The New York Times did not place this story on the front page; in fact, they did not cover it at all. Apparently, when assessing “all the news that’s fit to print,” the massacre of African Christians did not measure up. The same can be said for the Washington Post, the Chicago Tribune, the Detroit Free Press, the LA Times, and every other major paper in the United States.

And of course Breitbart is not exactly “mainstream” media.

So why won’t anyone else report on this?

And this isn’t the first time this has happened.  Last June, twelve entire Christian villages in central Nigeria were completely wiped out

In only days, a dozen villages in Nigeria’s Plateau state were wiped out. The affected communities surround the city of Jos—known as the epicenter of Christianity in northern Nigeria’s Middle Belt.

As many as 200 Christians had been killed, however, some residents fear the death toll may be even higher, as more bodies are yet to be recovered, while others were burned beyond recognition. On Sunday, 75 of the victims were buried in a mass grave.

I’ll bet that most of you had not heard about that until now.

On the other side of the world, 20 innocent people were slaughtered when Muslim radicals bombed a Roman Catholic cathedral in January

On January 27, Muslim extremists bombed a Roman Catholic cathedral on the Philippine island of Jolo, killing some 20 people and injuring dozens of others.

Once again, this is yet another mass killing that was almost entirely ignored by the mainstream media.

Is the anti-Christian bias among the mainstream media so strong that they can’t even bring themselves to report the basic facts to us?

People deserve to know what is happening.  Christian persecution is rising in almost every nation on the planet, and this huge ongoing crisis should be on our front pages on a continual basis.

But instead, we never get to hear any of these stories unless we seek out alternative sources of information.

Over in China, the persecution of Christians has reached a frightening crescendo.  Recently, officials have been going house to house and replacing pictures of Jesus Christ “with pictures of dictator Mao Zedong and/or China’s current authoritarian president, Xi Jinping”

The Chinese Communist Party (CCP) continues to harass and persecute Christians and, in recent months, has taken to removing pictures of Jesus Christ from inside homes and replacing them with pictures of dictator Mao Zedong and/or China’s current authoritarian president, Xi Jinping.

In addition, Communist officials have removed Christian symbols and phrases on the outside of homes and replaced them with phrases praising socialist materialism.

But they aren’t stopping there.  Bibles are being burned, and any churches that do not “cooperate” with Chinese officials are being either shut down or destroyed.  Earlier in 2019, one of the largest megachurches in the entire country was literally blown to pieces with dynamite

Chinese authorities blew up a well-known Christian megachurch earlier this year, inflaming long-standing tensions between religious groups and the Communist Party.

Witnesses and overseas activists said the paramilitary People’s Armed Police used dynamite and excavators to destroy the Golden Lampstand Church, which has a congregation of more than 50,000, in the city of Linfen in Shanxi province

We are talking about evil that is on a level that is difficult to comprehend.

So why won’t the mainstream media talk about any of this?

Similar things are happening on the other side of the world too.  In Eritrea, Christians are being imprisoned in “small shipping containers in scorching heat”

Since 1993, President Afwerki has overseen an authoritarian brutal regime that rests on massive human rights violations. During the 2019 World Watch List reporting period, government security forces conducted many house-to-house raids and imprisoned hundreds of Christians in inhumane conditions, including small shipping containers in scorching heat.

And in North Korea, Christians are “being hung on a cross over a fire, crushed under a steamroller, herded off bridges, and trampled underfoot”

According to charity Aid to the Church in Need, at least 200,000 Christians have gone missing in North Korea since 1953 — many of those have been summarily executed. As to the specific treatment of those persecuted, the 2014 UN Commission of Inquiry report discovered that the North Korean regime has been guilty of “crimes against humanity.”

According to Christian Solidarity Worldwide, violent incidents against Christians include “being hung on a cross over a fire, crushed under a steamroller, herded off bridges, and trampled underfoot.”

If you were to replace “Christians” with some other favored group in any of the examples that I have just shared, you would instantly have front page news all over the planet.

The mainstream media is definitely not “independent”, and they are not looking out for you.

They have their own agenda, and anything that does not fit that agenda does not get to be part of “the news”.

So far in 2019, there have been 453 Islamic terror attacks in which 1,956 people have been murdered.  But you will never hear those numbers from the mainstream media.

Instead, when the mainstream media talks about Bible-believing Christians it is almost always an attack story.  As a recent Breitbart article aptly observed, having “an anti-Christian bias” has become “the last acceptable prejudice”…

How much mileage can be gained from Muslims murdering Christians, when Christians in America are often seen as an obstacle to the “progress” desired by liberals? The left sees Christians in the United States as part of the problem and seeks to undermine their credibility and influence at every turn rather than emboldening them.

Anti-Christian bias has been rightly called “the last acceptable prejudice,” one that few bother condemning.

It is time to turn off the mainstream news for good.

They quit reporting “the news” a long time ago, and now it is all about promoting one left-wing narrative after another.

Today, trust in the media is at an all-time low, and it is easy to understand why so many Americans are absolutely sick and tired of being lied to by the big media companies.
