‘Go F**k Yourself’: John Oliver Attacks Jay Leno Over His Old Monica Lewinski Jokes

In an act of petty retaliation, Oliver had his staff at HBO dig up every old Leno joke they could find poking fun at Monica Lewinsky, edited them all together while cutting out much of the laughter, then cried about how his jokes were supposedly not funny and deeply offensive.

JOHN OLIVER: If you’re hazy on the Monica Lewinsky story, at 22, she and president Clinton began a relationship that, very long story short, ended up with graphic details being made public through the report by independent counsel Kenneth Starr. And it is impossible to overstate just how globally famous Monica and private details of her life became. The media obsessed over every angle of her story, from tabloid stories like these to cartoons where microphones pointed at her face were replaced with penises to endless late-night comedy jokes. Look, my hands are not clean here either. I wasn’t in the U.S. At the time, but ten years after the fact, I was in a “Daily Show” piece marking the anniversary of the scandal, above a graphic reading “Ten sucking years.” Which is gross. It’s gross. And many comedians have since publicly expressed regret about things they’ve said, although one who hasn’t, and who was among the most relentless, was Jay Leno.

JAY LENO: Let’s see what’s going on with Monica, or as president Clinton calls her, “My little humidor.” One million samples of DNA. They said it was the largest collection of DNA in the world, not counting Monica Lewinsky’s closet. And the humidity, man, I’ll tell you, people’s clothes are stickier than Monica Lewinsky’s. Man, it was just, oh. And you can’t get away without at least one of these. Lewinsky, back on her feet. All right, ladies and gentlemen! And the grammy for best organ recital went to Monica Lewinsky, ladies and gentlemen.

OLIVER: Those jokes have not dated well in any sense of the word. And they’re pretty rough, especially coming from a guy who, just this week, complained about late-night TV, saying he’d like to see a bit of civility come back. You know. Like that time he did a bit with a fake book about Lewinsky titled “The slut in the hat.” And if that’s what he means by civility, may I offer my new book, “Oh, the places you can go f**k yourself, Jay Leno.” Look how civil I’m being! Look how civil this is.

Imagine being so shook by Leno’s comments you felt the need to compile a Media Matters-style compilation of his old jokes to whine about.

If that wasn’t cringe enough, Oliver went on to interview Monica Lewinsky for ten minutes straight and treated her as an expert on public shaming, social media and online bullying:

If this show is any indicator, the current state of late night is worse than anything Jay Leno could ever imagine.

Research Ties Common Heartburn Meds to Kidney Disease

Common medications prescribed to treat heartburn, acid reflux and ulcers are linked to increased risks for kidney failure and chronic kidney disease, found a recent University at Buffalo study.

Use of proton pump inhibitors (PPI), a group of drugs that reduce the production of stomach acid, increases the risk of chronic kidney disease by 20 percent and raises the risk of kidney failure by four times. Risks were highest among people at least 65 years old.

The research, published in February in Pharmacotherapy, is one of the first large, long-term studies to examine the effects of PPIs on kidney function. Researchers examined the health data of more than 190,000 patients over a 15-year period.

“This study adds to a growing list of concerning side effects and adverse outcomes associated with PPIs,” says David Jacobs, PharmD, PhD, lead investigator and assistant professor of pharmacy practice in the UB School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences.

“Given the increasing global use of PPIs, the relationship between PPIs and renal disease could pose a substantial disease and financial burden to the health care system and public health.”

A new article exposes how unhealthy antibiotics can be for humans. Alex Jones discusses the negative affects when we give them to children as well as farmers feeding them into our food supply.

PPIs are one of the most commonly prescribed medications in the U.S., with an estimated 113 million prescriptions filled in 2008, costing patients nearly $14 billion, says Jacobs.

Due to acid reflux and related conditions only requiring short-term treatment with PPIs, he adds, up to 70 percent of patients overuse these medications without benefit and are subjected to unnecessary adverse effects.

The prevalence of PPI use in the U.S. could have a devastating effect on public health. Because these drugs are still considered safe, education and deprescribing initiatives are needed to raise awareness among health care providers, says Jacobs. Deprescribing may involve reducing dosage or stopping usage.

Data for the investigation was gathered from medical insurance and prescription claims from a Western New York insurer. Researchers examined medical history from 1993-2008 of adult patients with no history of kidney disease.

Kidney health was compared between patients who underwent PPI therapy and those who were unexposed. Examined PPIs included esomeprazole, lansoprazole, omeprazole, pantoprazole and rabeprazole (commonly known by brand names as Vimovo, Prevacid, Prilosec, Protonix and Aciphex, respectively).

Students Blame Chelsea Clinton for Christchurch Massacre, Force Her to Apologize

On Friday, a gunman opened fire at two mosques in New Zealand’s Christchurch, killing 49 people. Former first daughter Chelsea Clinton was among the many people who condemned the violence, saying that we “need a global response to the global threat of violent white nationalism”.

Chelsea Clinton was confronted by a group of New York University students over her stance on Muslims at a vigil for the New Zealand mosque attacks on Friday.

“I’m so sorry that you feel that way. It was certainly never my intention. I do believe words matter. I believe we have to show solidarity,” Clinton told students who accosted her at the vigil.

“This, right here, is the result of the massacre stoked by people like you and the words that you have put out into the world,” a female student responded. “I want you to know that. I want you to feel that deep inside. The 49 people died because of the rhetoric you put out there.”

“I’m so sorry that you feel that way,” Clinton repeated.

“I don’t think…” the girl replied, when another student interrupted: “What does ‘I’m sorry you feel that way’ mean? What does that mean?”

The girl who was seen calling out Clinton in the video appears to be a pro-Palestine Muslim activist and a sympathiser of the Black Lives Matter movement.

She refused to apologise for her words and explained that she didn’t plan the confrontation. However, she added she would still attempt to “disrupt” Clinton if she spoke and say the same things she said in the recorded exchange.

“I didn’t tell Chelsea Clinton she was the one who put a gun to Muslims’ heads,” she tweeted. “I said, and continue to say, that by jumping on the right-wing bandwagon and vilifying Ilhan Omar, she fed into the exact discourse we were at the vigil to protest.”

It was an apparent reference to a scandal that erupted last month after Democratic Rep. Ilhan Omar said that pro-Israeli lobbying groups, such as the American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC), buys support for the Jewish state from US Congress.

Her comments were met with backlash from members of Congress from both sides of the aisle. Clinton also joined in, tweeting: “We should expect all elected officials, regardless of party, and all public figures to not traffic in anti-Semitism.”

Omar was forced to apologise, saying that her “Jewish allies” educated her “on the painful history of anti-Semitic tropes”.

The row resulted in the House of Representatives overwhelmingly passing a resolution that condemned hate speech.

The Clinton-activist confrontation has made waves on social media, with many commenters — even those from the right — siding with the former first daughter.

Reports are now emerging that the Mosque shooter is not the white “Christian conservative” the MSM says that he is. Alex Jones exposes the false narrative surrounding this tragedy.

Study Finds Materials to Transform Space Missions

A new study from The Australian National University (ANU) has found a number of 2D materials cannot only withstand being sent into space, but potentially thrive in the harsh conditions.

It could influence the type of materials used to build everything from satellite electronics to solar cells and batteries — making future space missions more accessible, and cheaper to launch.

Ph.D. candidate and lead author Tobias Vogl was particularly interested in whether the 2D materials could withstand intense radiation.

“The space environment is obviously very different to what we have here on Earth. So we exposed a variety of 2D materials to radiation levels comparable to what we expect in space,” Mr. Vogl said.

“We found most of these devices coped really well. We were looking at electrical and optical properties and basically didn’t see much difference at all.”

Alex Jones reveals the truth behind China’s exploration of the dark side of the moon, an adventure that, in all likelihood, has already been carried out by covert, American run space programs.

During a satellite’s orbit around the earth, it is subject to heating, cooling, and radiation. While there’s been plenty of work done demonstrating the robustness of 2D materials when it comes to temperature fluctuations, the impact of radiation has largely been unknown — until now.

The ANU team carried out a number of simulations to model space environments for potential orbits. This was used to expose 2D materials to the expected radiation levels. They found one material actually improved when subjected to intense gamma radiation.

“A material getting stronger after irradiation with gamma rays — it reminds me of the hulk,” Mr. Vogl said.

“We’re talking about radiation levels above what we would see in space — but we actually saw the material become better, or brighter.”

Mr. Vogl says this specific material could potentially be used to detect radiation levels in other harsh environments, like near nuclear reactor sites.

“The applications of these 2D materials will be quite versatile, from satellite structures reinforced with graphene — which is five-times stiffer than steel — to lighter and more efficient solar cells, which will help when it comes to actually getting the experiment into space.”

Among the tested devices were atomically thin transistors. Transistors are a crucial component for every electronic circuit. The study also tested quantum light sources, which could be used to form what Mr. Vogl describes as the “backbone” of the future quantum internet.

“They could be used for satellite-based long-distance quantum cryptography networks. This quantum internet would be hacking proof, which is more important than ever in this age of rising cyberattacks and data breaches.”

“Australia is already a world leader in the field of quantum technology,” senior author Professor Ping Koy Lam said.

“In light of the recent establishment of the Australian Space Agency, and ANU’s own Institute for Space, this work shows that we can also compete internationally in using quantum technology to enhance space instrumentations.”

The research has been published in the journal Nature Communications.

NZ Massacre Reveals MSM’s Double Standard in Covering Religious Attacks

The New Zealand massacre highlights a glaring double standard in how the mainstream media treats religious attacks worldwide.

The tragic murder of 49 people, most if not all of whom were Muslim, by a gunman draws similarities to the 2017 Palm Sunday massacre in which two ISIS suicide bombers killed nearly 50 Christians in Egypt in two separate attacks, much like how the two mosques were targeted in Thursday’s attack.

Additionally, there’s been a spate of culturally- and religiously-motivated attacks over the past several years, such as the 2015’s Charlie Hebdo shooting, the Bataclan’s theater massacre and the 2016’s Berlin Christmas market “truck attack” to name a few.

And the mainstream media reported on all these instances, but not quite with the zeal they’re displaying in the coverage of the New Zealand massacre.

Case in point, CNN host John Berman actually asked if President Trump’s “language” is to blame for the New Zealand massacre. Did CNN ask such questions in response to the Palm Sunday massacre? Likely not.

Why not cover all of these attacks with the same level of seriousness and fervor as they deserve? It shouldn’t matter whether the victims were Christians or Muslims because they’re still victims of heinous crimes.

In 2016, London Mayor Sadiq Khan fueled a firestorm when he claimed terror attacks by Islamic extremists were “part and parcel” of living in a big city.

But you’re not hearing any such rhetoric pushed by the mainstream media in regards with the New Zealand massacre, not that you should’ve with Khan’s statement to begin with.

Illegal Alien With Long Rap Sheet Arrested in Calif. Woman’s Murder

An illegal alien gang member with a lengthy criminal record has been arrested in the sanctuary state of California, suspected of murdering a San Jose woman in February, according to police.

Carlos Eduardo Arevalo Carranza, 24, is believed to have stalked 59-year-old Bambi Larson before eventually entering her home and stabbing her to death.

Larson’s body was found by her son and a co-worker. Police say she had suffered multiple stab wounds and lacerations, as well as blunt force trauma to the throat and neck.

Carranza had already been arrested at least six more times in California, prompting Immigration and Customs Enforcement to issue six detainers on him, all of which were ignored by law enforcement in Los Angeles and Santa Clara counties.

Carranza has also been deported at least once following an apprehension in 2013 by Department of Homeland Security in McAllen, Texas, according to San Jose Police Chief Eddie Garcia.

During a press conference on Tuesday, Garcia defended illegal aliens residing in California, while saying that laws shielding violent foreign criminals from federal immigration enforcement “need to be discussed with the policymakers.”

“I know where this is headed, and the questions regarding our immigration policy will come, so I am going to answer them now,” Garcia said.

“Our job as police officers in this city is to protect and embrace everyone. That includes our otherwise law-abiding undocumented residents that make this city and our country better. Those undocumented residents who are not violent or serious criminals should not fear the police.”

California officially became a “sanctuary state” on January 1, 2018, following the passage of SB 54, a summary of which can be read here.

Eastern Europeans to Use NATO for Border Security

NATO is being increasingly appreciated in light of Europe’s “fragile security”, Prime Minister Viktor Orban told a celebration marking the anniversaries of the Visegrad Four countries’ joining that organization, in Wesola, near Warsaw, on Sunday.

Hungary, Poland, and the Czech Republic joined NATO 20 years ago, on March 12, 1999, while Slovakia followed suit five years later.

Concerning Hungary’s participation in NATO missions, Orban said that aid should be provided where it is needed; “unless we deliver that aid in time, the problems will come to our place.”

The authoritarian establishment media is now openly reporting anyone who disagrees with them to front organizations of the military industrial complex, NATO & the Democrat Party for censorship.

In his address, Orban thanked the other Visegrad countries for helping to protect Hungary’s southern borders from illegal migrants. Orban noted that NATO had been created to promote peace, security, stability and prosperity all over the world and said that those goals are still valid. He added that currently 692 Hungarian troops are serving in NATO missions across the world, a number soon to be increased by 130.

Concerning the Hungarian military, Orban said that it needs to be developed “so that it can protect Hungary and do well in NATO, too”.

Later on Sunday Orban decorated Kornel Morawiecki, member of the Polish parliament’s upper house, and Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki’s father, with the Order of Merit of Hungary, Middle Cross. Morawiecki was decorated for his solidarity to Hungary and his work to strengthen the two countries’ ties.

In his laudation, Orban said that the “radicalism of Morawiecki and his organization (Fighting Solidarity)” was an example for him and other young Hungarians in setting the tone of their movements working on the fall of communism in the 1980s. They decided to “be as radical as Morawiecki and his group were because … you have to go all the way to get to the wall you want to break through,” he said.

Israel Strikes Hamas Targets Amid Election Tensions

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) announced on Sunday that it launched airstrikes against Hamas targets in Gaza in response to a projectile fired into Israeli territory.

On Twitter, the IDF said a rocket was fired on Saturday night, prompting air raid sirens. “We responded by striking several military targets in a Hamas compound in Gaza and two Hamas vessels,” the IDF said.

The airstrikes were also in response to “continued violence emanating from the Gaza Strip, which has included the launching of balloons carrying explosive devices and attempts to damage security infrastructure over the last number of days.”

On Friday, a 23-year-old Palestinian was shot dead during clashes at the Israel-Gaza border. Forty-three other protesters were also wounded during the clashes.

Rising Tensions Ahead of Elections

Tensions are rising between Israel and the Hamas militant group, which has controlled the Gaza Strip since wrestling control from the Palestinian Authority in 2007. Since then, the militant organization has fought three wars against Israel.

The escalation comes as Israel gears up for elections. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has been accused of incitement throughout his campaign, with challengers saying he is invoking “Arab hatred” to appeal to his nationalist base.

However, support for Netanyahu has dwindled after Israeli’s attorney general announced last month that he intends to indict the prime minister on corruption charges. In the 2015 election, Netanyahu won the election by galvanizing last-minute voters, alleging on election day that “Arab voters are heading to the polling stations in droves” and that “left-wing NGOs are bringing them in buses.”

Political Gamble

But Netanyahu could lose votes if the escalation translates into Israeli casualties. According to some analysts, constituencies that see soldiers from their area killed during a conflict often vote against the ruling party. However, Netanyahu remained defiant on Sunday.

“I have heard people from Gaza saying that since we are in an election campaign, a large-scale operation is out of the question,” said Netanyahu on Sunday. “I suggest to Hamas — don’t count it. We will do whatever it takes to restore security and quiet to the Gaza border communities and to the south in general.”

In February, Israeli media reported that the government used mediators to warn Hamas against any escalation, saying: “Israel can make tough decisions during elections and is not afraid of a military campaign.”

How to Identify #MAGAPhobia

In today’s America, we find that there is a huge separation between beliefs and ideologies. MSM outlets, social platforms, and the Democratic party are at war with Trump “MAGA” supporters.  There have been countless attacks on people for simply showing their support to the POTUS for wearing a red MAGA hat. A recent study has found over 400 hoax hate crimes in America. Most would say this is Trump Derangement Syndrome or TDS, but now the newly coined phrase is “MAGAphobic.” – in short means bigotry towards Republicans who voted for Donald Trump.

The two most recent hoax hate crimes against Trump supporters are outrageously ridiculous. First, it was the Covington High School boys being attacked by fake Vietnam vet Nathan Phillips.  This led to minors being doxed by Trump haters and verified accounts on Twitter saying grotesque things such as “LOCK THE KIDS IN THE SCHOOL AND BURN THAT BITCH TO THE GROUND.”

Second is Jussie Smollett and his hoax hate crime in Chicago claiming that two men in MAGA hats came up and yelled “This is MAGA country” and poured bleach on him while putting a noose around his neck. Come to find out he staged the whole thing—go figure. While the MSM pushed the story to the extreme and verified accounts bashed all Trump supporters as a threat to people all over the country.

Many conservatives believe there is something called liberal privilege and you don’t have to look hard to find it.  The fact is there is an ideology of extreme hate against President Trump and his supporters in the mainstream media and across social media. It has gotten to the point where people walk to the corner neighborhood store and get harassed. Or a mother takes her minor son shopping and watches him get slandered by an unhinged adult. Can we call this derangement of lies, hysteria and hate crimes MAGAphobia? I think we can simply because behind each one of these crimes there is a Trump hater.
